Who I am

This website is run by George Henderson, trading as Sound by George. For anything to do with your data, email contact@soundbygeorge.co.uk.

What I collect

If you use the enquiry form or email me, I receive your name, email address and whatever you write in your message, plus any optional details you choose to add (the event date, venue and what you need). I don't collect anything else about you.

Why I use it

Only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to arrange that work. The lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering your message) or steps towards a contract you've asked about. I never sell your details or add you to a mailing list.

Who else handles it

Messages pass through my email provider. Enquiry form messages are sent to my inbox by Resend, an email delivery service. The site is hosted with Cloudflare, which may process basic technical data such as IP addresses to keep the site secure and to stop the form being misused (for example, limiting how many messages can be sent in an hour).

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact, then delete them, unless I need them longer for a job we've done together.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Just email me. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

Cookies

This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie, and the private admin page sets a sign-in cookie for the site owner only. Neither needs your consent. Fonts are served from this site, so no third party sees your visit.
